What is Open Mic?
Open Mic is an open forum for musicians to:
- showcase their talents
- try out new material
- jam and network with some of the areas best musicians
The best thing about open mic is it is not karaoke.
Who are the Rockness Monsters?
The Rockness Monsters are the house band for the CT Open Mic at Bleachers.

What do I need to play at open mic?
- First and most important...come down early and put your name on our sign up sheet. We are time constricted and can only get to so many acts each night. First come first serve.
- If you play an instrument bring it. Drummers bring your sticks. Generally we can and will provide you with an amp or mic if needed.
- Bring your friends.
- Drink Ten Penny Ale.
About Ten Penny Ale
- Bottom line...Ten Penny is our favorite beer. We're proud to have what we think is the best beer, sponsor what we think is the best open mic night around. Try a glass or 10 when you come down. We think you will like it too. Worse comes to worse....you'll have a nice buzz.
